Captive…Captivated: JetXMina
(Warning: Slight AU, possible OOC…and crack couple!)
Mina the Mongoose stepped out into the chilly night air. It was still, but freezing…even without the breeze. She decided for one night, to step away from the body guards…and to escape on her own. Mina missed being a freedom fighter, even though her inner thoughts still scolded her useless behavior…but…it was a great group of people, and certainly much less restricting as singing.
People bustled around, and with her coat covering most of her, she was nearly unrecognizable. Children ran around, yelling and giggling…and Mina could remember her days babysitting with her old friends. What friends did she have now? Sonic…heh…he didn’t care…Sally was more important now. She continued walking forward until a figure bumped into her. A small little boy, in ragged clothes stood there…hands out. “Excuse me ma’am…do you have any money for food? My mommy and sissy are starving…” Mina could feel her heart break inside her chest…she almost shed tears, but with a quick nod she handed the boy most of the money on her. His face split into a huge smile and he hugged her legs. “You’re the best miss!”
What was WRONG with society…children forced to be begging strangers, “I swear,” she thought, “I’ll have a concert…and give all the proceeds to the family’s in this city…”
Mina was too caught up in her thoughts to notice something floating above her. It was a purple board, with an annoyed purple swallow riding on it. “There she is…target sighted.” It took about 20 seconds at most, for Wave to swoop down, grab Mina and start flying away. “WHO ARE YOU!? WHERE ARE YOU TAKING ME?!”
“Be quiet…your too loud.”
“I WILL NOT BE QUIET UNTIL YOU TELL ME WHAT YOU’RE DOING WITH ME!”
“Kidnapping you. Happy?”
“W-what?! NO I’M NOT HAPPY! PUT…ME…DOWN!”

An hour later, they arrived in front of a tall fortress, much bigger then a lot of things Mina had seen. Wave pulled her roughly inside and called, “back. I’ve got her too.” A large figure, and a lean one stepped out of the shadows. One was covered in green feathers and it’s beak was twisted into a smirk. “You’re that girl that Sonic likes correct?” Mina nearly cried, her heart broke open once again when he said those words…but her grief didn’t blind her. Obviously they wanted her to contact Sonic and come and save her, which meant they needed her. Every hostage knows, the minute you cease being useless…is the minute your life ceases to exist. She dropped her head done, to hide her tears and spoke shakily, “yes…that’s me.” Liar…lies…he loves Sally…
“Good…we can use you. Wave, throw her in the spare room, lock it up tight.”
“Fine,” Wave grabbed Mina and dragged her down the hall, and pushed her into the room. “Stay in here, if you leave…well…you’ll find out I guess.” With a cruel smirk, the door was shut and Mina slumped against the wall. Sonic…if you feel anything for me…stay away, please stay safe…I love you. The mongoose cried, and clenched her fists…she bit her lip, but the tears wouldn’t stop. Mina’s breaths came out in harsh gasps and the door opened, it was Jet. “What’s wrong with you?”
“…why do…care?” Mina shot a glare at the hawk, who laughed.
“I don’t, at least not about you, but if you die, what bait do we have? Sleep tight…Songoose.” |
